Terms of Service
The rules for using Amistio's web workspace, project brain, repository sync, and local runner coordination features.
Agreement
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Amistio, including the public website, app workspace, repository sync features, project-brain records, and local runner coordination features. By using Amistio, you agree to these Terms.
If you use Amistio for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization or that you are using the service under permissions granted by an authorized administrator.
The Service
Amistio helps users and teams create, manage, sync, review, and execute project knowledge. The web app coordinates work, project-brain records, approvals, and status. The local CLI runner performs approved work from your machine and your connected repository, using local tools and credentials you configure.
Accounts And Workspaces
You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity performed through your account, workspace, projects, connected repositories, local runner credentials, and local tools. Use accurate account information and promptly remove access for people who should no longer use a workspace.
You may remove your Amistio personal workspace from account settings when available. Clerk-hosted account management remains the path for personal user-account deletion. Organization membership alone does not block personal workspace removal.
Organization workspace administrators are responsible for managing members, project access, repository connections, runner expectations, review practices, and any internal approvals needed before work is generated, synced, or executed.
Your Content
You retain ownership of the project content, repository metadata, project-brain records, prompts, generated drafts, comments, and other materials you submit or approve in Amistio. You grant Amistio the rights needed to host, process, transmit, display, sync, back up, secure, and operate that content for the service.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights and permissions needed to submit, sync, approve, or share content through Amistio. Do not submit secrets, access tokens, private keys, regulated data, or confidential repository content unless your organization has approved that use and the product workflow is appropriate for it.
Local Runner And Tools
The Amistio local runner executes on your machine, in your repository, with local tools and credentials you choose. You are responsible for your local environment, third-party AI or developer tools, package managers, shell commands, repository permissions, and any outputs those tools produce.
Generated artifacts, suggested changes, and runner activity may be incomplete, incorrect, insecure, or unsuitable for your project. Review outputs, diffs, dependencies, migrations, and security impact before approving, syncing, deploying, or relying on them.
Acceptable Use
You may not misuse Amistio, interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, bypass security or usage limits, upload malicious content, violate laws or third-party rights, abuse other users, or use the service to create or coordinate harmful activity. You may not use Amistio to collect secrets or private data from systems where you lack authorization.
Third-Party Services
Amistio may integrate with authentication, hosting, database, search, repository, analytics, monitoring, support, and local AI or developer tool providers. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Amistio is not responsible for third-party services outside our control.
Availability And Changes
We may update, suspend, limit, or discontinue features, routes, integrations, plans, or the service as needed for reliability, security, legal compliance, product direction, or operational reasons. We try to avoid unnecessary disruption, but Amistio is not guaranteed to be uninterrupted, error-free, or available in every location.
Feedback And Amistio IP
If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas, you allow us to use them without restriction or compensation. Amistio and its software, designs, documentation, trademarks, and service materials remain owned by Amistio or its licensors, except for your content and third-party materials.
Disclaimers And Liability
Amistio is provided on an as-is and as-available basis to the maximum extent allowed by law. We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Amistio will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or business interruption. Any aggregate liability will be limited to the amount you paid to use Amistio for the service period giving rise to the claim, or one hundred US dollars if no amount was paid.
Termination, Changes, And Contact
You may stop using Amistio at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for the service or other users, or if continued access would create legal or security concerns. Some provisions, including content rights needed for prior operation, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute-related terms, survive termination.
Removing a personal workspace or deleting a Clerk account does not delete local source files, local checkouts, hosted repositories, machine-local CLI configuration, or organization-owned workspace data.
We may update these Terms as the product changes. When we make material changes, we will update the date on this page and provide additional notice when appropriate. For questions, contact hello@amistio.com.
