Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Amistio Learn, including the public website and the signed-in learning app. By creating an account or using Amistio Learn, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use Amistio Learn. If you use the service on behalf of someone else, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms for them.

Amistio Learn is a voice-first AI tutoring tool. You talk with Ami, and AI agents plan a personalized Journey, assign practice, and grade your work to help you learn. Amistio Learn is an educational aid — it is not a substitute for professional, accredited, or licensed instruction or advice, it does not award accredited certifications, and it does not guarantee any particular learning outcome, score, or result.

You need an account to use the learning features. Authentication and account management are provided by Clerk. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account.

You must provide accurate account information and be old enough to use the service under these Terms and applicable law. You are responsible for the materials you upload and the content you submit through your account.

You agree to use Amistio Learn only for lawful, personal learning purposes. You may not misuse the service, interfere with or disrupt it, attempt unauthorized access, bypass security or usage limits, upload malicious or infringing content, harass others, or use the service to violate the law or the rights of others. You are responsible for using Amistio Learn in line with any academic-integrity rules that apply to you.

You retain ownership of the materials you upload and the submissions, responses, and other content you provide to Amistio Learn. You are responsible for having the rights needed to upload and submit that content, and you should not submit secrets, regulated data, or content you are not permitted to share.

You grant Amistio Learn the rights needed to host, store, process, transmit, and display your content for the purpose of operating the service for you — including sending it to our AI processors to plan your Journey, generate practice, and grade your work, and to maintain your learner profile and progress.

Amistio Learn uses AI models to generate explanations, plans, assignments, grades, and feedback. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your situation. It is provided to support your learning and is not professional, legal, medical, financial, or accredited academic advice. Verify important information independently before relying on it.

Amistio Learn relies on third-party providers, including Clerk for authentication and Microsoft Azure and Azure OpenAI for hosting, storage, and AI processing. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and Amistio Learn is not responsible for third-party services outside our control.

We may update, suspend, limit, or discontinue features, content, or the service as needed for reliability, security, legal compliance, or product direction. We try to avoid unnecessary disruption, but Amistio Learn is not guaranteed to be uninterrupted, error-free, or available in every location. We may also update these Terms; when we make material changes, we will update the date on this page and provide additional notice where appropriate.

Amistio Learn is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty that the service or its AI output will be accurate, reliable, or meet your learning goals.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Amistio Learn will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or business interruption. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid to use Amistio Learn in the period giving rise to the claim, or one hundred US dollars if you paid nothing.

You may stop using Amistio Learn at any time and delete your account through Clerk-hosted account management. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for the service or other users, or where required for legal or security reasons. Provisions that by their nature should survive — including content licenses needed for prior operation, disclaimers, and liability limits — survive termination.

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Amistio Learn regarding the service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
